Don’t Go Under the Knife Before You . . .
A couple of words of sound advice from Dr.Leo McCafferty, president elect of the prestigious ASAPS , who suggests that before selecting a plastic surgeon, check to see if the doctor has sufficient credentials to do procedures in a hospital.
This doesn’t mean you have to go to a hospital to have this done,” he says. “It means they’re qualified to do so through a thorough peer review as well as a board review. Non-hospital procedures, however, should be completed in a facility that has been thoroughly vetted.
(Hint: Ask about the surgeon’s hospital privileges – exactly what procedures s/he is allowed to perform in the hospital, as surgeons are often deemed qualified to perform some procedures and not others.)
Have a beautiful life!
