BUYER BEWARE: Cosmetic Surgery Ads

Advertising for cosmetic surgery procedures is neither illegal nor unethical, but promotional advertisement with pressure tactics attached are. Groupon customers were recently offered discounts of up to 50% on cosmetic surgery procedures with one stipulation: the surgeries had to be booked before midnight of that same day.
Such tactics are deemed illegal and should be blazing red flags to potential patients to put on their running shoes and sprint in the opposite direction. No properly credentialed, ethical surgeon would lend their name to such a ploy. Remember the old adage: If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is too good to be true!
